Massacre Authors

What information do we need?
We need some personal details in order to complete your contract for publication – name, address, and email address for correspondence. This information is always treated as highly confidential.

Storage of Information
It will be necessary to store information electronically. Whilst we hold this information it is stored in secure cloud-based storage, and/or on a password-protected computer. Contracts will also be stored in secure cloud-based storage.

Destruction of information
We will retain your information for a period of one year from date of publication in case of any query/further submissions. After that time, emails, author info forms, and electronic draft story files will be permanently deleted.
Email submissions for stories that have been unsuccessful will be deleted five working days after the author has been informed.
Publishing contracts will remain archived in secure cloud-based storage.

Email Communication
Emails from any of Massacre’s email addresses should not be stored on a third-party server but recipients should be aware that their own email provider may store emails and attachments. These are unlikely to contain highly sensitive information but again we will treat them as if they might.

Right to access your information/Right to be forgotten
You may request details of what information we hold about you at any time and we will provide this within fourteen working days. You may request that any information we store be updated or deleted, and this will be done within seven working days. Please contact us via if you have any queries.
